ADOPTIONS
If you are interested in adopting a cat, all you have to do is
call 781-834-4663 and ask to speak to an Adoption Counselor who will
explain the adoption process including relevant adoption fees.
You may also send an email and request a
call back. The adoption process will then proceed with a phone
interview. Once your application is approved, a volunteer
from the Adoption
Team will contact you and work diligently to schedule a tour of our
facility. Our Adoption Team is made of up volunteers who are not at the
shelter full time, but we try our best to schedule appointments at
the potential adopters' convenience.
When you come to the Standish shelter, you will see how the cats react to you in their home-like
environment. You can also see how the cats interact with each other.
Our adoption counselors know the personalities of all the cats at
the shelter and can help guide you to make the best choice. We
will advise you on introducing a new cat to your home. Our
counselors are experts on feline behavior and will gladly answer
your questions and continue to provide needed advice after the
adoption, because we want both you and your adopted kitty to live
happily ever after.
